Which panels on a Creta need protection first?
The Creta lives in the city: school runs, office parking and weekend drives out of town. Its damage pattern follows that life. Highway stones land on the front bumper and the leading edge of the bonnet. Tight parking takes care of the rest.
In basement parking and narrow peth lanes, a bumper corner or a mirror cap is usually the first thing to touch a pillar. In traffic, two-wheelers filtering between cars brush the mirrors. At home, rings and keys scratch the door-handle cups every time someone opens a door.
There is also damage you don’t see at once. Bird droppings and tree sap left on paint in the summer heat can etch the clear coat. Dark Cretas show swirl marks from rough washing quickly. Neither of these is an impact problem. A ceramic coating, which makes the paint easier to clean, deals with them well.
Front PPF, full PPF or ceramic: which suits your Creta?
| Option | What it covers | Best for | Typical studio time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ceramic coating only | Every painted panel: gloss and water beading, easier to clean. Doesn’t stop chips | City Cretas on a tighter budget | 1–3 days |
| Front PPF + ceramic | Film on the bumper, full bonnet, mirrors, headlamps and door cups; ceramic on everything else | Daily city use with regular highway trips | 2–3 days |
| Full-body PPF | Film on every painted panel | A new Creta you plan to keep, or one parked on the street | 3–5 working days |
| Graphene coating | All painted panels. Makers pitch it as more resistant to water spots than ceramic | Owners comparing coating types | 1–3 days |
We confirm the exact time when you book. If you’re weighing the main options, read PPF vs ceramic coating and 9H vs 10H vs graphene first.
Does the 2024 facelift change anything?
The 2024 facelift has a more upright, squared-off nose than earlier Cretas. The bumper and bonnet are shaped differently, so each takes its own film pieces. The plan is the same on both, though: protect the front and the touch points, and coat the rest.
On older Cretas, check the headlamps and wheels before you protect anything. Hazy lenses and kerbed alloys can often be restored, and doing that first means the film or coating goes over a clean finish.
What’s worth adding while it’s in the studio?
A hardwired dashcam is a good addition for a car that spends hours in Pune traffic. Wiring it while the car is already in for PPF or coating saves you a second visit. Some owners also take the chance to change seat covers or add mats.
How we work on your Creta
On a Creta that’s a year or two old, the paint check often turns up wash swirls, especially on darker colours. So we wash and decontaminate first, look over every panel under the PinkStudio’s lights, and polish before anything goes on. That way the film or coating seals a clean finish instead of locking the marks in.
The film is laid panel by panel, and the car cures indoors. At handover we explain how to wash it and how soon. The warranty depends on the film or coating grade you choose, and our warranty page sets out the manufacturer’s terms.
