Who is SaiMetro?
SaiMetro has served Pune’s car owners since 2010, and our logo still carries “Estd. 2010”. Today’s studio is in Mangalwar Peth, in the old-city peths. The full name, SaiMetro Car Accessories & Detailing, covers both halves of the work: the accessories owners come looking for in a new car’s first weeks, and the detailing and protection that keep it looking new.
Pune is hard on paint. The roads are dusty, the monsoon runs from June to September, and on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway trucks throw up stone chips. That’s what film and coatings are for.
We fit paint protection film (we work with Garware films), ceramic and graphene coatings, LED headlights, Android systems, dashcams and body kits, alongside seat covers, mats and everyday accessories.
Why is the PinkStudio pink?
The pink is ours, the colour of our logo. The lighting does real work, though.
Our bay has a criss-cross LED grid across the ceiling. When those lines reflect in a panel, they show what flat, diffuse light hides: swirl marks, holograms left by careless polishing, a high spot in a coating, a speck of dust trapped under film. If a straight line bends in the reflection, the surface isn’t right. That’s the light we finish and check our work under.
Working indoors matters even more than the colour. Film is laid on a slip solution, and dust or a few minutes of direct sun can spoil a panel. A coating needs to level and cure at a steady pace, not bake on a hot bonnet in the afternoon. An enclosed bay keeps wind, dust and sun out of the job. The black-and-white checkerboard floor? That’s the one from our reels.
How do we work on your car?
Every job follows the same four steps, whether it’s a headlight restoration or full-body PPF on a Fortuner.
- Inspect. We walk round the car with you under the studio light and note existing chips, scratches, dents and repainted panels. Repaints matter: Garware’s film warranty, for one, excludes film applied on repainted vehicles.
- Explain. Before any work starts, you hear what we recommend, what it costs and how long it typically takes. We also tell you what a product can’t do. A 9H coating isn’t scratch-proof, and an LED upgrade must be aimed so it doesn’t dazzle oncoming drivers.
- Do it right. We wash, decontaminate and correct the paint where needed, then fit or coat indoors and give the film or coating the time it needs to settle. Rushed cure times are how good products fail.
- Hand over. We walk round the finished car with you, explain the aftercare and the manufacturer’s warranty terms, and hand over the keys, often with a bouquet.
Whose cars do we work on?
All kinds, from first-time Nexon buyers to Fortuner, Thar and Safari enthusiasts. Recent reels show a Tata Safari and a Tata Nexon in PPF, a Mahindra XEV 9e in film, a Scorpio N getting a graphene coating, a ceramic-coated Fortuner and a customised Thar Roxx. Our Instagram highlights go further back, with a Swift Dzire, a Creta, a Thar and a Porsche. Some owners come from outside Pune: one recent Fortuner went home to Raigad.
