Why one page for the Safari and the Harrier?
The Harrier and the Safari are built on the same platform and share much of their body. For paint protection, that means the same damage in the same places. The differences are at the edges. The two cars have their own grilles and bumpers. The Safari is longer, with a stepped roof and a third row, so its rear bumper and tailgate see more luggage traffic.
Everything below applies to both. Where a detail differs, we say so.
Where do these Tata SUVs chip first?
On the 2023-on facelifts, the front has two levels. A full-width LED bar runs along the bonnet’s leading edge, and the main headlamps sit low in the bumper. So the bonnet edge, the whole bumper face and the lamp lenses all sit in the stone spray from the vehicle ahead. On the expressway or the Satara highway, that spray comes from trucks at speed.
Behind the front wheels, the painted strip above the cladding takes gravel. Then come the size-related marks. Wide mirrors and big doors meet pillars and gates in Pune parking far more often than on a compact car.
Which protection package fits your Safari or Harrier?
| Option | What it covers | Best for | Typical studio time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ceramic coating only | All the paint coated for gloss and quick washes. No impact protection | Mostly city use, or a first step | 1–3 days |
| Front PPF + ceramic | Film on the bumper, full bonnet, fenders, mirrors and headlamps; ceramic on the rest | Daily use with regular highway trips | 2–3 days |
| Full-body PPF | Film on every painted panel | A new Safari or Harrier you plan to keep, especially in a bold or dark shade | 3–5 working days, longer end for this size |
| Full-body PPF + coating on top | Film everywhere, with a coating over it for easier washing | Owners who want the lowest-effort upkeep | Typically adds a day |
We confirm the exact time when you book. For the trade-offs in depth, read PPF vs ceramic coating.
The warranty depends on the film or coating grade you choose. We explain the manufacturer’s terms before we start, and our warranty page lists Garware’s published terms.
Our Safari and Tata work
Our most recent Safari reel is a PPF handover at the PinkStudio, and it’s linked on this page. We’ve also posted our plug-and-play LED fix for Tata cars. It suits owners who want brighter lamps without cutting the wiring, depending on the year and variant. We fit it for a correctly aimed, road-appropriate white beam with no blinding colours, and we check the headlamp aim after fitting.
On a car this size the prep takes time: a full wash and decontamination, then a panel-by-panel look at the paint under the studio lights, where we point out existing chips and swirls. The film goes on next, with edges finished around the LED bar, sensors and badges, and the car cures indoors.
What else is worth doing while it’s here?
On a diesel Harrier or Safari with a lot of kilometres, engine decarbonisation is worth asking about. Many owners notice smoother idle and response, but results depend on engine condition. If you want a dashcam, it can be wired in during the same visit.
